11h agoA 7-year-old boy was shot in the finger at a home in Wakefield on Sunday, prompting the arrest of a 61-year-old man.
Willie Terry was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. The relationship between Terry and the child was not immediately known.
Sources say the child was playing with the gun.
The child was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to be OK.
